2 weeks agoWent to Mad Hatters with a whole crew of us and left as devoted disciples of one man: the sushi guy. I don't know his official title, but in my heart he's "the pop-up guy" — he just sort of materializes, rolls you something transcendent, and vanishes back into the kitchen like a culinary phantom. We came for dinner and left having witnessed a craftsman at work. The sushi itself? Outrageously good. This man rolls with the focus of a surgeon and the flair of someone who knows he's the best part of your night. Every plate that came out of his station got an audible reaction from our table. At one point we just stopped talking to each other so we could appreciate it. That's the highest compliment a group of loud friends can pay anyone. We also got ramen, which held its own admirably — rich, comforting, the kind of bowl that makes you go quiet and a little emotional. Great spot, great vibe, big enough to handle our chaotic group without blinking. Come for the food, stay for the pop-up sushi wizard. Ten out of ten, would let him surprise me again.

4 months agoThis preview is a bit tardy to the party lol but I went there for my birthday last year with my wife and it was phenomenal! The soup was delicious my sandwich was HUGE it so good and the coffee was amazing! would recommend this restaurant to any one visiting the area. Further the staff were so welcoming and so kind. I genuinely felt like a valued customer and that every order was made with care and attention. To the staff that run the cafe you have really hit the nail on the head ! Also to not the atmosphere was just top notch ! It’s the closest I’ve felt to dining in a home kitchen setting in the best possible way!

7 months agoPhenomenal service. The tea is delicious and they have several different options. They have fresh ramen one of my favorites. I have just discovered this hidden gem and I am looking forward to my next visit

11 months agoThe Big Mac Ramen was fantastic. Full of flavor and even better than the OG sandwich. The lemonade was refreshing on a hot summer day. I got strawberry and coconut flavor in mine. Everyone was friendly and hospitable. Will return!

a year agoQuiet, quaint, cute and very welcoming cafe. Limited hours are a bummer but only because I very much enjoyed my time here! Locally owned business that is done for the fun of it and well executed. I recommend the gluten-free ramen, it was great.

a year agoCute wee tea room with the best ramen I’ve had in my entire life. They also have specialty teas and a wide variety of coffee options as well as baked goods. The lunch menu consists of salads and sandwiches but I definitely recommend the ramen! They have a paper slip where you can choose all of your ingredients in the ramen and the server was so helpful with giving recommendations with what flavors went well together. The outcome was delicious and it’s a big portion so I’ll be able to eat the leftovers and enjoy it all over again. I’m only in town for work training but I’m glad I chose to stop in to the mad hatter cafe.

2 years agoWarm and friendly atmosphere and the fresh ingredients are amazing. Extra points for the chef in the Dr Who hat! Highly recommend stopping in and trying the Thanksgiving Ramen especially.

4 years agoThe owner is very kind and sweet, you can tell she enjoys being there and talking to people. Very nice atmosphere, clean and well decorated/lighted. The food was excellent especially for the price. If your on the fence, hop over and check it out.
